.michael & katy. Stevens Point wedding photographer.

Michael and Katy meet at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point campus.  The story goes that she opened the door for him during registration.  Which door and building is still up for debate, but that was the spark that lead to many coffee and beers, which lead to Love!
The spark continued during our shoot when we went back to their old stomping grounds on campus.  We had the best time that I just kept shooting and shooting.  Here is a small look at the fun we had.  I'm so looking forward to their 2012 wedding.  Let the fun and love continue!  Much love, Em

.joe & heather. Madison WI Wedding Photographer

I adore everything about Madison, WI.  There is a heartbeat that I feel there that is different than any other town.  It makes me feel young again.  I was thrilled when Heather said she was hoping for a Madison engagement session ... and can you guess what happened?  The heartbeat started!
I like to say that Madison is where I grew up.  Let me clarify ... Home is Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.  That is where I had the majority of my primary education.  But my growing up happened in Madison as I attended college there.  What a place to grow up!
I met Joe and Heather bright and early on a Monday morning to capture their engagement shoot.  We met over coffee at the terrace and got to know each other a bit.  There attraction and love for each other is infections and made my job super easy and fun.  Thank you for keeping me in Madison another day and giving me another reason to stomp around State Street.  I can't wait for your big day next year in Stevens Point.

ryan & angie, engagement photographer, Madison, WI

Meet my newest clients Ryan and Angie.  We had a lovely fall day for their engagement session in Madison, WI.  We started downtown by the capital and then drove down by lakeshore drive.  We actually went to the spot where Ryan asked Angie to marry her on Picnic Point.  Turns out in college I used to run and sit out on the very same tree that they were engaged on.  So fun!
It was so lovely getting to know the two of you and I am thrilled about your big day next year.  We are going to have a great time.  I'm ecstatic about capturing your celebration.  All the best to you both this holiday season.  Em

carlos & jamie Geneva, Switzerland

I am so excited to introduce my newest in love couple, Carlos and Jamie.  They were recently relocated for work to live in Geneva, Switzerland.  We thought it would be perfect opportunity to shoot their engagement photos in their new location as now they can share where they live with everyone they love.  They also get the added bonus of having great images of their first home and city together.
I traveled there at the end of May and was so blown away by how beautiful and unique the location was for pictures.  Basically twenty steps from where Carlos and Jamie live there is a massive park that takes you right to the lake.  The colors and the trees where straight from a movie set.  When we got to the lake I became obsessed with the funky weird trees that lined the walking path and of course the fountain.
This opportunity also gave me a chance to get to really know Carlos and Jamie and as well for them to get to know me and how I shoot.  This way on the wedding day they can be completely comfortable and know exactly what to expect.
Thank you Carlos and Jamie for the amazing time and being so willing to show us your city and home.  I'm so glad we were able to see some new sites together.  See you in Minneapolis for the big day soon!  Cheers to you both,  Em and Lisa

save the dates, engagement

I wanted to share my newest finished project that I made for Chris and Kelsy, their save the date cards.  Save the dates are a great way to keep your friends and family informed of "key" information involving your wedding.  The biggest info they need is ... YOUR DATE!!!!  How can they mark your date as their most important event of the year if they only know about it 2 months in advance!!!

This is also a great way to incorporate your engagement photos into your wedding details.  Chris and Kelsy picked out one of their favorite images from their engagement session and I did the rest.  I can also use a favorite image from your personal files to incorporate into your save the date.  Their are lots of options, and lots of styles.  It's so easy, you just let me know what you would like and I put it together for you.  If you are interested please call or email for more information.
Happy day, Em
