Here are two portrait sessions that I shot in April. One maternity shoot, which is shown first, and a portrait shoot of two sisters celebrating a birthday! Both were shot in my studio and were loads of fun. The studio is always a great back up plan in case it is raining or it's too cold.
Thank you for taking the time to document these big events and letting me be a part of it. Sharing the joy of the event with you, even for a small time frame makes my day!

I'm Back!!!

Wow, it's been a while.
As one of my weekly bloggers told me last week, "I am sick of saying good morning to Mr. Eagle!" Thanks for the kick in the butt! I have neglected the blog these last few months as I crawled into organizing the office and studio phase of winter. Things are looking good on the inside, so now I jump into Summer Phase!!!
I'm so excited for the new season that is ahead. I have spent the last 2 months getting office things done to make the next season run even smoother and now it it time to start shooting again. I have some great location shoot coming up this year with some awesome clients! I get to go to Dominican Republic, New York City, Door County, Minocqua, Duluth, Minneapolis, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin Dells, Alaska and don't forget Stevens Point. All for work! I have such a cool job. A big 2009 and I can't wait for it to get started.
I have also had some time to do some fun stuff the last few week in between the organizing and office work. To prove that I am not all work and no play below are some pictures of me actually getting out and about!

1. The Killers Concert
I was able to attend the Killers concert at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI with some friends. What a blast we had. I just love live music. The beats thumping through you just makes me feel alive!
To top off the night, I caught the drum stick after the drum solo! I felt like a total rock star even though I didn't have anything to do with any music making!!!! Below are some shots taken on my phone!

2. Joe's birthday party in Chicago and Arlington Heights!

My husband and I were lucky enough to sneak away for the weekend to attend our friends 30th birthday party in Chicago. I just love seeing all our friends and hanging out, but the best part was the theme birthday party. We all got our foofy hats out and went to the Arlington Park race track for the birthday party. Y'all know how I love a good theme party!!! I highly recommend a day out there. It was great fun.

3. Turkey hunting

Last but certainly not lease, I went turkey hunting with my Dad and husband in Southwest Wisconsin. We had beautiful weather and another fabulous time. I know girls, seems odd or maybe not your thing ... but it was great hanging outside in the fresh air and great for some bonding time with my favorite men.

Dad and I were sitting in a blind (hiding tent so the turkeys don't see you) and two Jakes (youth turkeys) came out of the brush together. Dad looked at me and said, "Well, shoot it!" On the count of three we both shot and bagged our birds! One of the birds had two beards. Very unique!

This isn't anything I ever envisioned myself doing, or really something I would do on my own ... but it was great being a part of something that Dad and Will totally love. Thanks guys for showing me the ropes and for being patient with my "ants in the pants" while waiting for the birds!!! Love you.

Good Morning Mr. Eagle

Happy St. Pats from Cable

So we got in the spirit of the day too! Pulled out some green, drank some Guinness, and watched the local parade. Fun was had by all! Cheers to Cable. Em, Lucy, & Cleo

up north and loving it!

For almost a week now I have been up north dog/house sitting for my parents up in Cable, WI. Everyone thought that I would be going mental by now being up here alone and hanging out in the north woods with just myself, the house, and two crazy labs!
It has actually been a great get away for me to go on lots of walks, eat healthy, and catching up a loads of work stuff. Thanks Mom and Dad for trusting me with your beloved animals and home. We are having a great time together. Below are a few of my favorites from the last couple of days.

This is Cleo. Full of drama and spunk. Marches to her own drum. Here she is with her blankie (Dad's old sock!)


Here is Lucy and Cleo for our field trip to the frozen lake for a big walk!



On our walk we encountered some outside friends. Mr. Raccoon and a herd of 14 deer crossing the frozen lake. I had never seen deer cross the lake like this and thought it was awesome.





Can you see her thoughts? "Party on! Yah, right Em!"



"I stole your duck, and now I will keep it all to myself!" - Drama queen!



And the biggest joy of all, the ice is melting! It was 50 + degrees today and water pools started to form on top of the frozen part of the lake. I haven't been here for this before and it looks super cool!





And then she walks on water!!!! Okay, frozen water. Whatever! Self timer worked well for once! Thank you God for the beautiful day.

Here is a sneak peak from the most recent wedding. I had such a good time with this crew and the snow certainly made it interesting. Thank you Jess for trusting me and spending a few seconds in the blizzard to capture some shots. I just love that blue background and I think it paid off!!! Once arriving at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, WI the whole wedding party was ready to have a good time and we had a blast with them.

mr. tyler

Mr. Tyler has once again captured my heart with his smiles and giggles. He was definitely on the move this time and I believe a walking boy will be in full force any day now! Bubbles, zurberts, and the itsy bitsy spider saved the day and got us huge smiles. Dad and Mom sure knows what to keep in their back pockets to get a happy baby. Loved seeing you guys again!
