jana & tyler

I was able to meet up with Jana and Tyler last week for some shoots down at Jordon park. I was amazed at how lovely and fun these siblings were together. These teens were awesome and so great to work with. Clearly their pictures speak for themselves. One of my favorites is the last one as they are walking through the tunnel with mom following behind. Like she is watching them as they emerge into the big world in front of them! I know ... very deep!
Thanks again guys for a great evening. Best of luck this next year at school. Have fun! Em

steven's senior portraits

Steven and I met down at Jordon Park and did his senior portrait session. Steven was his "chill" self while playing his guitar and trying to not smile too hard! Best of luck in your senior year dude! You will go far! Em

Gram's 99th BIRTHDAY!!!!

Today was my Grama's 99th birthday. We celebrated with a party this afternoon, loads of friends and family, a band, a heap of cards, yummy cake, and a ton of pictures. Gram took a quick nap at the beginning to prepare, but then she put her smile on, made funny faces, and jammed to the music. Young and old were there to celebrate Gram! I love you Gram .... Happy Birthday!

tammy & scott

I had a great chance this last week to work with Tammy and Scott in Minneapolis. It was a beautiful day at the rose gardens for a engagement shoot. We had a awesome time! They even hopped into the fountain for me. What good sports ... obviously it paid off with the rad picture below! Best of luck with the Iron Man in Madison you two. Can't wait to hear about it at the wedding. Happy day, Em

kate & pete Kent, England

Huge Congrats to my dear friends Kate and Pete Nolan who were married last weekend. What an amazing wedding! Not only was I able to attend but was also hired to take the pictures. You guys certainly put on an amazing party. Will and I had the best time.
The day started at Kate's parents house with getting ready, cups of tea, and glasses of wine! We then walked across the "green" about 100 yard to the church. So perfect!
The ceremony was preformed by Kate's Godfather and her mother sang "One Hand one Heart" at the end of the ceremony. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house!!!
After the ceremony we then walked back to the house for cocktails and the reception in her parents garden in the back. What an incredible place to celebrate the wedding. And celebrate we did!!!! There was so much joy in that tent I thought it would burst!
Dancing and singing went on until the early hours of the morning. Kate's Nan was even there until 3am I believe! No one wanted the party to end. I think that I even got on stage at the end with an Elvis wig on! Yicks! Those pictures are not for public viewing!!!!!
What a blessing to be a part of your special day. We had an amazing time and hope that you have the best time on your honeymoon to Bali. Cheers, Ems & Will

Nantes, France

I was so blessed this last week to be able to go with my husband, Will, to visit our friends Rich and Rachel who are currently in Nantes, France doing missions work. They are doing an amazing job and we are so proud of them.
We were lucky to catch them on their day off and took a trip to the beach at Ile De Noirmountier. What a beautiful place. We had a lovely picnic on the beach, played paddle ball, and walked around the adorable city.
This is only a small look at the fun we had with them. Thank you guys for hosting us for two days and showing us around your town. We are so blessed to have such good friends. Love you, Em & Will

Now this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen, Hotel Nantes. The artist Tatzu Nishi has a traveling show turning monuments into into hotel rooms for short periods of time that you can actually stay in. During the day they open the room up so you can take a peek to see what it is all about. This room is actually built right around the fountain in downtown Nantes. I love fountains so this was totally up my alley. Unfortunately the room was booked months in advance so we were unable to stay the night. Check it out!
